(1) the acquisition restoration alteration and preservation and upkeep of the fabric of a lifeboat similar to the 'old louisa', for the benefit of persons resident in lynton and lynmouth and the district and the public at large, such boat being of historical, and constructional interest and of local significance. (2) to promote the advancement of public education by the provision of a museum to display the aforesaid lifeboat and ancillary items of historical and local interest and in particular items relating to the epic journey of 1899 to porlock weir. (3) to promote any charitable purpose or purposes within lynton and lynmouth and the surrounding area and with particular reference to the charitable work of the royal national lifeboat institue.
