(2) to promote the education of the public, and in particular young people of the commonwealth, in the principles and practice of conservation, protection, preservation, restoration and presentation of outstanding monuments and historical sites in sri lanka. (3) to promote, organise and carry on study and research in the principles and practice of conservation and to publish the useful results of such research.
