1. the advancement of the christian religion by teaching, preaching and propogating the doctrines, principles, beliefs and teachings of our lord jesus christ and god in accordance with the bible which is the word of god. 2. such other charitable purposes for the benefit of the inhabitants of catford and the surrounding district as the council of deacons shall determine from tme to time, including in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing: a. the education and training of young people so as to develop their physical, nental and spiritual capacities in order that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society. b. the relief of the aged and disabled. c. the advancement of education in the basic principles of christian morality. d. the provision of daily care and education of children under five in the catford area and the provision of recreational facilities in the interests of social welfare for children under five with the object of improving their conditions of life. e. the relief of children of one-parent families who are in need of care and protection and the charitable assistance of the parents of such children who are in need.
