to promote support and ensure publication of the results of research into and disseminate information concerning: (i) methods of maintaining optimum nutritional value of foodstuffs by distribution, storage and processing without the use of chemical additives; (ii) methods of agriculture which will maintain the long term fertility of soils whilst avoiding so far as is possible all forms of environmental pollution; (iii) methods of processing that do not use chemical additives. (iv) the effects on health of a diet based on crops and livestock products produced by programmes developed under the foregoing researches.
