Objects:
(a) the promotion of the study in italy of the english language and of british literature, art, history, philosophy and institutions. (b) the promotion of the study of the italian language and of italian literature, art, history, philosophy and institutions, and of a greater knowledge and appreciation of italian culture; (c) the promotion of a good understanding between the citizens of italy and those students, whether of british or other nationality, as may be pursuing studies as described in (a) and (b) of this article; (d) to support the other objects of the institute as herein set out by, inter alia, maintaining a library in florence from such funds as may be authorised for this purpose by the governing body.
