Objects:
1. the relief of all persons suffering from mental handicap who reside in the beneficial area and in a manner which now is or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable, and in particular to promote the reintegration of mentally handicapped people into the community in particular through providing a programme of education and training for staff who work with mentally handicapped people. 2. to establish and carry on a forum for the research and investigation into and the study of the education and training, vocational or otherwise, of mentally handicapped people and to publish the results of such research. 3. to provide exhibitions, displays, meetings, lectures, classes, seminars or other facilities for the exchange of views and dissemination of information regarding such education and training to all interested persons and bodies. 4. to provide training projects, workshops, seminars, lectures, classes and if thought necessary examinations to teach such skills and knowledge as will assist in creating a full and equal place for mentally handicapped people in the community. 5. to provide a training centre or centres, rooms, offices, board, lodging and all other necessaries and conveniences for or to students, teachers, lecturers, clerks, employees and officers instructed or employed temporarily or otherwise by the association and to afford the facilities for study, research, cultivation, teaching and performance of the tasks and duties allotted to them respectively.
