to provide physical mental and spiritual education and character training for boys and girls under the age of eighteen years through a threefold scheme of activity namely: (a) adventure. to provide opportunities for discovery and knowledge and for the learning of and practice in useful skills exploration games and sports. (b) service. to encourage such young people to be concerned for the needs of others and to provide them with training and opportunities for giving service. (c). challenge. to encourage train and challenge the physical and mental abilities of such young people in a wide variety of interests including in particular preparing them for the duke of edinburgh's award scheme and to assist such young people in finding a spiritual faith and code of moral conduct by which to live (with special provision for the place of the christian faith and in particular the doctrine and tradition of the church of england.)
