to promote such one or more of the following charitable purposes as the foundation from time to time thinks fit: (a) to promote, further and advance the training and education of apprentices, technicians, trainees, craftsmen and any other persons engaged or intending to be engaged in industry and commerce and in particular maritime activities, shipbuilding, ship reparing and allied industries.(b) to promote within industry and commerce, education in all matters relating to the health, safety and welfare of persons engaged in industry and commerce, in accordance with the principles of the health and safety at work act 1974 or any statutory modification or re-enactment thereof for the time being in force or any regulations made thereunder. (c) to promote, further and advance the provision of occupational health and hygiene services for industry and commerce and in particular maritime activities, shipbuilding, ship reparing and allied industries and to assist in the establishment and running of centres or facilities where such services may be provided. (d) to advance the education , training and rehabilitation of people who through their social or economic circumstances are in need and unable to gain employment or wish to further their education and to assist in the establishment of centres where such people may be training for employment
