1. to provide further education for young men and women by encouraging and enabling them to undertake voluntary work in education, health and other community projects in palestine which for the purposes of this constitution is hereby defined as the territory formerly administered by h.m. government under mandate from the league of nations and now comprising israel, the west bank and the gaza strip. 2. to relieve poverty sickness and distress and advance education in palestinian arab communities by placing foreign and local workers in independent educational health and other community projects of such communities. 3. to promote research into the social, educational material and other needs of the said palestinian arab communities and to publish and disseminate the results of such research. 4. to promote the development of cultural, educational and material contacts between appropriate groups and organisations within the united kingdom and their counterparts in palestine in order to further the above objects.
