the capital and income of the trust fund is to be applied for: (1) the advancement of public education and the increase of public knowledge in science and technology through teaching reasearch and development and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing the trustees are requested but not required to consider as a primary object in their regard the advancement of public education and the increase of public knowledge in tribology. (2) the advancement of medical education reaseach and development and the relief of suffering resulting from both physical and mental illness and its effects whether physical pyschological or social and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing the trustees are requested but not required to consider as a primary object in thes regard the advancement of medical education research and development in the subject of deafness and the relief of suffering resulting from deafness. (3) such other charitable objects or purposes as the trustees may from time to time determine.
