(1) the promotion for the public benefit of the efficiency of the naval forces in the service of the british crown (including without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing works the royal navy, the royal marines the womens royal naval service and queen alexandra's royal naval nursing service) by providing in the intrests of the non-commissioned officers and ratings of those naval forces facilities for recreation or other leisure-times occupation. (including without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing holiday facilities for the use of such non-commissioned officers and ratings and their dependants who might otherwise be unable to holiday together and residential clubs for the use and accommodation of such non-commissioned officers and ratings (2) any other charitable purposes which shall in the opinion of the trustees be for the benefit of such non-commissioned officers and ratings or their dependants.
