the society if established to promote the education of the public in the history of the royal air force and in particular of bomber command by the preservation and maintenance of the whole or part of an ex-royal air force airfield, and its refurbishing to the style and manner of a royal air force bomber command station of 1939-45, as a public museum and as a memorial to the members of bomber command who died in the service of their countries.
