a) to relieve immobility pain and suffering amongst the physically disabled. b) to encourage research in methods of attaining the objects above. c) to encourage research and advancement in the surgery, medicine and practice of orthopaedics and former and promote learning and education in the advancement of the knowledge of bio engineering including orthotics and prosthetic. d) promote links with princess elizabeth orthopaedic hospital at exeter and engineering science university of exeter as specified in the trust deed e) to encourage and given an opportunity to orthopaedic surgeons trainees and other persons to undertake research without (if possible) the distraction of clinical responsibilities and to enable engineering science students to study orthopaedic and similar problems and the manner in which engineering methods can be applied in their solution. f) to co-operate with or making donations to such charitable institutions or institution at such time or times and in such manner as the founder (freddie durbin) may from time to time by notice in writing to the trustees determine and direct in pursuance of or ancilliary to the primary objects here and before specified.
