1 awarding maintenance allowances, each of the yearly value of nort more than $10, to children or young persons resident in the parish of north wraxall who have for not less than two years attended a public elementary school, and who appear to need such assistance for purposes of education higher than elementary. 2 in providing special facilities additional to those ordinarily afforded by the local education authority, in subjects of practical or technical instruction such as handicraft, gardening, agriculture, dairy work, cookery, laundry work, and household management. 3 in or towards providing for children resident in the parish of north wraxall who are in attendance at a public elementary school and appear to need such assistance, spectacles or other surgical appliances recommended for their use as the result of any medical inspection.
