assisting young men who (a) have not attained the age of 25 years (b) have for not less than two years at any time attended any secondary school in the borough of southend-on-sea (c) are lineal descendants or persons who were either killed or disabled during or as a result of a service in the great war of 1914 to 1918 or in the second world war of 1939 to 1945 (d) are in need of financial assistance (e) are preparing for entering upon or engaged in any profession trade occupation or service by providing them with outfits or by paying fees travelling or maintenance expenses or by such other means for their advancement in life or to enable them to earn their living as the trustee thinks fit and (f) in otherwise promoting the education (including social and physical training) of such young men.
