to apply the annual income:-three quarters in founding and maintaining entrance scholarships for boys joining the school of such amount for such period and to be awarded in such manner as the headmaster for the time being shall from time to time determine and as to the other quarter shall be used as follows:- the one fourth part of the income applicable under the said will in founding and maintaing in scholarships tenable at the uninversity of oxford by boys leaving the school may be applied by the trustees of the foundation in awarding scholarships, tenable at any university or other institution of further (including professional and technical) education approved by the trustees, to pupils, or former pupils, of the said school, who are under the age of twenty-five years and who, in the opinion of the trustees, are in need of financial assistance.provided that, in so far as the said one fourth part of the income cannot usefully be applied in awarding scholarships aforesaid, the trustees may apply the same in awarding entrance scholarships, tenable at the school, to boys attending, or proposing to attend, the school.
