the income of the foundation is to be applied in one or more of the following ways for the benefit of persons, not exceeding the age of 25 years, who have been the subject of care proceedings under the children and young persons acts 1933 to 1969 or any statutory modifications or re-enactments thereof or whose home comditions are unsatisfactory and who, in the opinion of the trustees are in need of financial assistance with a preference for beneficiaries resident in the county of gloucester:-(a)in apprenticing beneficiaries to some trade or calling;(b)assisting beneficiaries who are preparing for, entering upon or engaged in, any profession, trade, occupation or service by providing them with outfits, or by the payment of fees, travelling or maintenance expenses or enable them to earn their own as the trustees think fit.(c)awarding to beneficiaries exhibitions for secondary or further (indluding professional and techincal) education and otherwise promoting the education (including social and physical training) of beneficiaries.
