the provision of lectures, the maintenance of a library, the equipment of the school, the conduct of excursions for the scholars thereof or for any other purpose which the board shall in their absolute and uncontrolled discretion consider to be of benefit to the school or its scholars from time to time. a prize to be awarded once in every year to such scholar at pate's grammar school who, in the opinion of the headmistress for the time being of the said school, shall have written the best essay, to be selected by the governors, involving solid reading, real thought and some power of expression preferably based upon a biography or other subject likely to encourage interest in social service in the widest sense of the term. to provide an annual prize/prizes to be awarded to a selected pupil/pupils of pate's grammar school for girls in memory of miss n k cossens and miss w g cossens. to be given to the most outstanding scholar of the year, in books or in an order on a bookshop: butit may equally be divided amongst two or more who are adjudged to be of relatively even merit. to be awarded to the girl who has the best result in latin in the gce examination. to provide a prize each year for the most worthy member of the school. for the provision of prizes and other suitable rewards or marks of distinction to pupils of pate's grammar school and to promote the education of young persons who the trustees consider to be in need of financial or other assistance by in particular but not limited to offering support for such young persons through the pate's grammar school's outreach programme prizes to pupils of pate's grammar school to be awarded at the discretion of the headteacher for purposes of pate's grammar school the award annually of a prize for swimming to the most deserving boy pupil in the life-saving classes at pate's grammar school, such pupil to be selected by the trustees in consultation with the head teacher of the school. a scholarship to be tenable for three years at either of the universities and open to all boys who have attended the school for three years and upwards. to establish a prize fund to the memory of frederick jessop to provide an annual prize in his name to a nominated pupil of pate's grammar school. to provide an annual prize for metal work. provision of a scholarship fund at the school prizes to pupils at the school for outstanding achievement in history for purposes of pate's grammar school prizes for boys at pate's grammar school prizes for girls at pate's grammar school provision of prizes for achievement in history the provision of annual prizes at pate's grammar school for history and mathematics. to the bursar of pate's grammar school. to assist a student or students from the school in completing their education at any university, or at the royal college or royal academy of music in great britain. (for further details see extract from will). to augment the mrs robins' music prize at pate's grammar school. to award a scholarship to a boy who has been resident in cheltenham for at least a year prior to the awarding of such scholarship, whose parents were natives of cheltenham and residing therein at the time of his birth. to advance education by the provision of educational resources for the libraries operated by pate's grammar school for the benefit of pate's grammar school annual prize(s) to a selected pupils of pate's grammar school. to support the award of scholarships awarded by trustees to children who have attended pate's grammar school. see individual constituents
