award of exhibitions (called helen fullarton exhibition) tenable at any university approved by the governors, with a preference for the university of london, for the benefit of young men who have not attained the age of 25 years, intending to qualify for any of the professions specified in the 2nd schedule to this scheme, who, in the opinion of the governors, are in need of financial assistance. (a) solicitor, excluding barrister, unless and until the two professions may be held by one and the same person. (b) medical profession (c) architect (d) surveyor (e) chartered or other accountant (f) civil, mechanical, electrical or other engineer (g) analytical chemist (h) veterinary surgeon in all their respective branches and sub-divisions, and any other profession approved by the governors, except any profession involving membership of any fighting service, and except also any profession connected with the stage, cinema, painting, singing, dancing or journalism.
