(1) the relief of disabled persons and the relief of need of dependants of such persons and of the members of the families of such persons upon whom the latter are dependant and who are themselves in need and in particular in the following means:- (a) by the provision of financial and other assistance to such persons, (b) by the provision of work centres for the physically and mentally handicapped and training centres for those persons referred to in clause 3(1) hereof. (2) the provision of homes for elderly people who are in need. (3) the relief of terminal patients and the dying and in particular by the provision of a hospice pain centre or centres including one or more of the following services: (a) home nursing services, (b) social research and training, (c) nursing and medical services. (4) the relief of sickness by the provision of orthopaedic and medical services for the general community.
