for the benefit of the almspeople of the charity or any of them in such manner as the trustees think fit. (for further details see clauses 21-23 of scheme). (1) (a) the provision of housing accommodation for beneficiaries; and (b) such charitable purposes for the benefit of the residents as the trustees decide;(2) the relief of beneficiaries resident in the area of benefit who are in need, hardship or distress(a) the trustees may relieve beneficiaries in need by:(i) making grants of money to them;(ii) providing or paying for goods, services or facilities for them;(iii) making grants of money to other beneficiaries or bodies who provide goods, services or facilities to those in need. (b) in exceptional cases the trustees may decide to assist someone (who is otherwise qualified) who is :(i) resident outside the area of benefit; or(ii) only temporarily resident in the area of benefit.the land numbered 1 in part 1 of the schedule to this scheme must be retained by the trustees for use for the objects of the charity.
