to relieve either generally or individually persons resident in the parish of little strickland who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress. (for further details of objects see clause 15 of the scheme dated 9 may 1974) if and in so far as the income is not required for application in accordance with the provisions of the scheme of 9 may 1974 the trustees shall apply the same for charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of little strickland.
