grant to be awarded to girls who have been pupils of the school or not less than three years previous to the award of the grant and who are studying or about to study at any university with a preference for a student of science or in default of such a candiate for a student of mathematcis. to grant prizes to girls who, have been pupils of the school for not less than three years who are undertaking further study in french in the british isles or abroad preferably at a university. for the establishment of a scholarship fund or for any other educational or other charitable purposes which the council of the school may think fit for 1) such charitable purposes connected with the school as the trustees shall from time to time in their absolute discretion determine or 2) such other charitable purposes or such charitable foundations (whether or not connected with the school) as the trustees shall in like manner determine. for a geography award to pupils of edgbaston high school for girls. 4.1 the company's objects (?objects?) are specifically restricted to the following: 4.1.1 to establish and maintain a public day or boarding school or schools for the education of girls and boys and to supply to girls and boys general education and instruction of the highest class. 4.1.2 to establish and maintain a boarding house or boarding houses for the use of girls and boys attending any school maintained by the company and to equip the same and to acquire and provide all furniture, food and things necessary for that purpose. 4.1.3 to promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of edgbaston, birmingham and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.
