to be awarded to pupils who then are and have for not less than two years been in the school. to be awarded to boys who have for not less than two years been in the school and who: (i) are sons of parents whose means are, in the opinion of the council, such that they require assistance for giving their sons a higher education (ii) show proficiency in subjects included in the school curriculum other than classes. (a) in providing for the wyggeston and queen elizabeth i college and the wyggeston collegiate such special benefits of any kind not normally provided by the local education authority as may from time to time be agreed between the managing trustees and the governors of the school concerned. (b) in otherwise promoting the education, including social and physical training. (for further details see clause 24 of the scheme).
