the trust is established to promote any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in the city of manchester and the surrounding area especially the district of wythenshawe and its neighbourhood and in particular the advancement of education, the furtherance of health, the relief of poverty and sickness, the provision of facilities within the meaning of the recreational charities act, 1958 and the relief of the suffering and distress of animals in need of care and protection.
