(a) to provide and maintain or assist in the provision and maintenance of a home as a residence for the accomodation of persons in conditions of need, hardship and distress or physical of mental sickness and in particular, but not exclusively, of such persons who are young, and (b) to further such other charitable purpose or purposes for the welfare of such persons for the time being assisted by the charity as the trustees think fit and as may conveniently be furthered in conjunction with the furtherance of the above-mentioned project.
