1. to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the furness estate and surrounding area (within a one mile radius of the furness community centre, hereinafter called the area of benefit) without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions by associating the local authorities and or voluntary organisations and inhabitants, and particularly of those who have need of such facilities by reason fo their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances. 2. to advance the education of the said inhabitants, and particularly young members of the public at large, in agriculture, horticulture, home crafts, country life and related subject. 3. to promote among the inhabitants of the area of benefit , humanity and morality by educating them in care and consideration for all animals, particuarly animals in need of care and protection. 4.to provide education and training for young persons redisent in the said area of benefit so as to prepare them for any trade, occupation and service.
