(1) the furtherance of research and education in the medical, biological and chemical sciences in such manner as the trustees shall from time to time think fit and the dissemination of the useful results of the former provided always that unless they see particular reason to the contrary the trustees shall restrict the application of the income and capital to the furtherance of such research and education in the university of liverpool. (2) the carrying out of such other legally charitable purposes for the advancement of research and education in the medical biological and chemical sciences as the trustees shall determine.
