(a) the association is established to relieve distress and suffering and generally assist cancer patients and to preserve and protect the health, physical, mental and spiritual, of the families of such patients. in particular (but without limiting the generality of the foregoing) the association may: i offer a counselling service to cancer sufferers and their dependants, relatives or friends. ii promote facilities for the exchange of experiences, views and informaton among cancer sufferers, their families and friends, and other interested persons. iii provide continuing education and training for volunteers who wish to act as counsellors. iv help health professionals to better understand the needs of cancer patients and their families. v help the public better understand the needs of cancer patients and their families.
