Objects:
the objects for which cydt is established are for the benefit of the public to advance education in artistic expression by providing facilities by which young people can be encouraged to achieve their full potential in all aspects of contemporary dance of high aesthetic value, in particular (a) to teach develop and extend techniques; (b) to encourage and develop choreographic creativity; (c) to provide performance opportunity and experience; (d) to provide instruction and experience in stage design, lighting and costume design and manufacture; (e) in the pursuit of such objects the cydt shall so far as practicable confer its educational benefits upon young people of as many different racial groups as possible and thus promote good race relations generally.
