Objects:
(a) the advancement of the christian religion (without prejudice to the generality hereof) the support and maintenance of charitable institutions established for similar purposes. (b) the promotion ofthe benefit of the inhabitants of the area served by churches from time to time in membership with the council of churches aforesaid by the advancement of education and the provision of facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreational and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants. (c) the relief of poverty, distress and sickness, the advancement of education and the preservation of health in the united kingdom or overseas, including (withouth prejudice to the generally hereof) the provision of centers for the supply of advice and guidance within the areas served by the churches as aforesaid. (d) to enable the churches to bear a more united witness in the community and to serve it more effectively.
