a) to encourage, promote and develop sport and recreation amogst disabled people and so to enable and encourage them to compete and integrate with able-bodied people. (b) to endeavour to secure the provison and improvement of facilities for support and recreation for the disabled by the local authority and other controlling agences and organisations for sport and recreation. (c) to make known to disabled people the benefits of recreation through sport. (d) to encourage disabled people to oranise activities suitable to differing handicaps, regardless of age and sex. (e) to maintain a properly constituted body representing sport and the disabled in leeds, and for tha body to organise regular sporting and social events, capable of attracting those disabled people in the leeds area who are interested in sport.
