(1) to promote and assist the general good of all old people in any geographical area but with a particular focus on north merseyside meaning liverpool, sefton and all area north of the river mersey making gifts of sums of money and goods to such old people, providing facilities for physical and mental recreation, developing physical improvement, further health, relieving poverty, distress or sickness or pursuing any object which now or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable and to assist the work of statutory authorities and voluntary organisations engaged in pursuing the objects of the association.(2) to promote and organise co-operation in the achievement of the objects of the association and to that end, to bring together representatives of the authorities and organisations engaged in the furtherance of the objects of the association wherever they may operate but with particular focus on north merseyside.
