two scholarships (one for boys and one for girls), tenable for 3 years in connection with newport intermediate and technical school. these scholarships are open to:-boys and girls as the case may be (a)who are bonafide resident in the county borough of newport (b)who are and have been for not less than two years in attendance at public elementary schools in the said borough and have attained the fourth standard.(c)who have received from the headmaster or headmistress as the case may be of the school at which they are attending, a certificate in writing of good concuct regularity in attedance and progress in learning, as may be satisfactory to the trustee, and (d)whose parents are in the opinion of the trustee unable pay the school fees.(see also overseas section of register: kimberley, south africa)
