to provision of scholarships and prizes to be awarded and given in equal proportions between the depts of architecture and building to such students as shall be selected by the advisory committees of those sections of the college or in the event of their being no such committee in existence then the selection shall be made by a committee comprising the principal for the time being of the college and the heads for the time being of the architectural and building sections of the college on the recommendation of principal of the college and his staff for meritorious work and at such intervals as the committee may decide and also to afford facilities and assistance to selected students to study building methods at home and abroad and to study ancient buildings and to encourage research work and in such other ways as the committee may think fit to widen the students' outlook and interest in architecture and building.
