"award of special benefits for melton mowbray grammar school. award of scholarships, bursaries, maintenance allowances, assistance to enter a profession, trade or calling, financial assistance to enable persons resident in the beneficial area or who attend the grammar school, or the provision of facilities for recreation, and social and physical training. ""beneficiaries"" means persons of either sex who have not attained the age of 25 years and who are about to attend, are attending, or have for not less than two years attended melton mowbray grammar school (otherwise known as melton mowbray upper school) and are, in the opinion of the county council, in need of financial assistance; provided that preferences shall be given, other things being equal, first to those beneficiaries resident in the beneficial area and are the children of farmers, farm labourers or graziers and secondly to those beneficiaries who are the children of other residents of the beneficial area."
