scholarship for persons not over nineteen who have been a pupil attending the thomas magnum school for two years preceeding the award of the scholarship, whose conduct has been good and who have been diligent in their studies and who are a native of one of the following parished in the county of nottingham or one whose parents have resided in for at least seven years consecutively in one or more of such parished namely newark upon trent west newark, balderton, hawton, east stoke, farndon, north of south muskham, keltham, averham, winthorpe, langford or coddington.such scholarship being tenable at either of the university of cambridge & oxford or at any other university in the united kingdom or at any of the inns of court in londonor at any school of mines or mining or of engineering or at any medical school approved by the trustees. (a) in providing for the school such special benefits of any kind not normally provided by the local education authority as may from time to time be agreed between the school governors and the trustees. (b) in promoting the musical education of pupils attending the school and of young choristers of the said parish church by payment to the said organist and choirmaster to provide such education and in such other ways as the trustees think fit.
