conducting a voluntary school or a grant maintained school.income to be applied (a) in providing equipment and other items, services and facilities for, and thereby advance education at the school; (b) in otherwise promoting the education of persons who are in need of financial assistence and are pupils of thr school or former pupils of the school who have not attened the age of 25 years; (c) the award of exhibitions,bursaries, maintenance allowances or other benefits including rules as to the value and period of tenure of the awards and the qualifications and method of ascertainment and selection of such persons; (d) if and in so far as the income of the charity is not expended the trustees may apply the same in advancing the education (including social, physical and spiritual training) of any person who is resident within the metropolitan boroughs of kirklees or calderdale and who is in the opinion of the trustees in need of financial assistance.
