scholarships to be awarded annually or at such other intervals as the trustees shall think fit to bakery and/or catering students of the college one for proficiency in bakery and the other for proficiency in catering. provided that if at any time in the case of either bakery or catering studies there shall not in the opinion of the trustees be any candidates of sufficient merit for a scholarship then the trustees shall not be bound to award either of the scholarships and provided always that the trustees shall so far as is practicable allocate the scholarships equally between bakery and catering students.
