Objects:
the objects of the society shall be to provide clothing and ancillary assistance to needy children of families resident in the area covered by the former scarborough divisional executive and normally attending publicly maintained schools in the said area, being that of the former borough of scarborough, the former scarborough rural district and the former scalby urban district (the area being defined as that bounded by ravenscar in the north, ebberston in the west and gristhorpe in the south). such assistance shall terminate at the end of the school year in which such children attain their 16th birthday, or when their family circumstances are deemed by the committee of management no longer to warrant such assistance, and may be reviewed when such children become eligible for assistance from the scarborough united scholarship foundation.when appropriate to give financial support to the scarborough united scholarship foundation in order to enable it to assist needy young people over the age of 16 who meet the criteria of the two charities for the application of income.
