Objects:

(a) the promotion of education by encouraging and assisting students of leicester polytechnic to further their knowledge of knitting technology and/or the knitted textile industry. (b) the creation of scholarships or bursaries or prizes to be awarded to students to enable them to further their knowledge of knitted textiles technology and/or the knitted textiele industry by travel beyond the bounds of the united kingdom particulary to knitted textile trade fairs or by research related to knitted technology, knitwear, its marketing or improvement.
