******insolvent******(1) to promote any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in the area of benefit and in particular the advancement of education, the furtherance of health and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness and to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreational and other leisure time activities with the object of improvingthe conditions of life for the said community. (11) to promote and organise co-operation in the achievement of the above purpose and to that end to bring together representatives of the statutory authorities and voluntary organisations engaged in the furtherance of the above purposes within the area of benefit.
