(i) to preserve for the benefit of the townspeople of wakefield in the county of west yorkshire and of the nation at large, whatever of the english historical, architectural and constructional heritage may exist in and around clarke hall farm at aberford road, stanley, wakefield, west yorkshire in the form of buildings (including any building as denfined in section 290 (1) of the town and country planning act 1971) of particular beauty or historical, architectural or construction interest. (ii) to advance the education of the public with particular but not exclusive regard being paid or given to the educational work being carried on at clarke hall aforesaid.
