to advance the education (including physical education and vocational training) of children and young persons under the age of 25 years in the inner city of birmingham and surrounding areas particularly but not exclusively deprived or handicapped children and young persons without distinction of age, sex, race, creed or colour or of political, religious or other opinions by granting scholarships or other financial assistance to enable such children and young people and any people concerned or working with such children or young persons to travel to and subsist in any part of the world for the purpose of advancing their education, or by such other means as the trustees in their discretion shall think fit (for further details see clause 4 of the trust deed)
