Objects:
"to help to maintain the high choral standard and tradition of the choir of leicester cathedral and to this end the objects shall be achieved as follows: (a) by means of the awarding of a scholarship or scholarships to be known as the ""william alan north choristers' scholarship"" by the repayment of expenses incurred or to be incurred by a boy or boys admitted or to be admitted into the choir of the said cathedral church in carrying out his duties as a chorister in the choir or the said cathedral church. (b) by the awarding each year to an outstanding chorist for his contribution to the cathedral choir to be known as the ""william alan north award"" by means of a book or other prize up to the value of 10% of the income of the trust fund in any year."
