(i) to relieve poverty and sickness amongst persons who are caring at home for poeple who are elderly, infirm, or chronically sick,or people with disabilities,learning difficulties or mental health problems (hereinafter called the carers) and the relief of such elderly, infirm,or chronically sick persons,together with people with disabilities,learning difficulties,or mental health problems aforesaid by the provision of training and advice for those responsible for their care in the area of benefit to be the districts presently described as hambleton and richmondshire.in particular it should initiate and support a network of local groups which undertake to increase public awareness of the needs of carers, and also to assist them by means of support group, information services, a relief sitting service and any other activities which comes within the aims so mentioned. (ii) to advance education concerning caring amongst carers and the public.
