after the payment of any expenses of administration, the net annual income of the general prize fund shall be applied by the governors in the award of annual prizes at tonbridge school in such a manner and for such purposes as the governors shall, upon the recommendation of the head, from time to time decide; provided that in the award of prizes the governors shall, so far as is practicable, attach the names of the original donors to the various emoluments and shall have regard to the promotion of the objects specified by the said donors.
