Objects:
a. to relieve sickness and distress among persons who are suffering from meningitis (which in these objects means meningitis in all forms and includes all and any associated conditions) or septicaemia or who are disabled as a result of meningitis or septicaemia.b. to undertake and fund research into all strains of meningitis whether viral or bacterial or septicaemia and to publish, assist with, and/or fund the publication and dissemination of the useful results thereof.c. to work towards the elimination of meningitis as a serious medical problem.d. to provide support to people who suffer meningitis or septicaemia and their immediate families, guardians or partners. (1) to encourage, support and provide financial grants to established meningitis research centres in the uk for research into developing a vaccine to eradicate all strains of meningitis and associated infections and diseases whether bacterial or viral in nature;(2) to advance the education of the public and raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of meningitis and associated infections and diseases through the promotion, publication and support of such research;(3) in the event of the income and capital of the trust being in excess of what is required to further the above objects or, in the event that all strains of meningitis and associated infections are eradicated, the funds shall be applied for or towards such exclusively charitable purposes or purpose or such exclusively charitable institutions or institution at such time or times and in such manner as the trustees in their absolute discretion think fit
