firstly to pay out of the income of the charity a yearly sum of 50 pence to the person preaching a sermon on saint thomas's day in the parish church of the ecclesiastical parish of all saints, pocklington. subject thereto, income to be used for relieving either generally or individually persons resident in the former parish of ousethorpe as constituted 31 march 1935 and parishes of pocklington and yapham who are in conditions of need, hardship, or distress by making grants of money or providing or paying for items, services or facilities calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distress of such persons.
